Cookie Policy

SoClose uses a small number of cookies and similar browser-storage techniques to make the platform work. This policy describes what they do and when they are set.

Strictly necessary

Session cookies for authentication, CSRF protection, and age-verification state (sc_age_ok). Without these, sign-in and the age gate cannot function. These are set on first use and cannot be turned off from inside the product.

Preferences

Client-side storage for UI preferences (theme, saved-item state on the current device). Cleared when browser storage is cleared.

Analytics

SoClose does not use Google Analytics or ad-tech pixels. Any analytics we adopt will be privacy-preserving (self-hosted or Plausible/Umami-style), described here, and — for users in jurisdictions that require it — behind an explicit consent prompt.

Withdraw or change

You can clear cookies in your browser settings; strictly-necessary cookies will be re-set on your next visit as needed. Contact privacy@getsoclose.com with questions.
